The world’s ultimate wildlife haven
Botswana’s incredible natural beauty coupled with a national focus on conservation makes for an exceptional safari experience. From desert to delta you’ll experience abundant flora and fauna, meet inspiring people and fall in love with this landlocked country.
Venture across a tangle of rugged tracks, crossing over fossilised river valleys, expansive stretches of grasslands and rusted-red savannahs in search of animal sightings. Around dusty bends, in the thick of foliage and splashing through basins, you’ll spot elephants, hippos, wild dogs, zebras, wildebeest and more.
Even journeying to reach your next camp is an adventure in its own right, each turn revealing a new marvel: perhaps graceful giraffes browsing on acacia trees and elusive predators prowling through the grasslands.
Our Africa experts, with decades of safari experience between them, have unparalleled knowledge of Botswana’s wide variety of lodges and luxury tented camps. We’ve come face-to-face with prides of roaring lions, drifted through the narrow channels of the Delta by mokoro, and gathered around campfires for countless traditional boma nights.
We’re regularly on location to visit new properties and revisit old favourites, bringing this expertise to every bespoke safari we plan. No Jacada journey to Botswana is alike, but all allow you to witness some of the most incredible landscapes and wildlife spectacles on the planet – with your perfect mix of game viewing, destinations and activities.

One of my favourite memories of Botswana was listening to the amazing sounds of the Okavango Delta at night. There’s something quite magical in listening to that abundance of nature and wildlife whilst safely relaxing in the comfort of the lodge.

Where to go
Okavango Delta
The incredible Okavango Delta has a well-deserved reputation as one of the world’s best wildlife habitats. During the dry season, its vast plains are flooded by the Okavango River, transforming it into an irresistible attraction for animals in search of water. Board a traditional mokoro to get up close and personal with its intriguing ecosystem.
Discover moreLinyanti
With a combination of woodlands, ancient floodplains and watercourses, Botswana’s Linyanti is home to a dense and varied wildlife quotient. It is arguably the best place to see predators in Africa, and especially huge concentrations of elephants in the dry season - the best time to visit Botswana.
Discover moreChobe and Savuti
Located right at the northern edge of Botswana, close to the spectacular Victoria Falls on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, Chobe National Park is known for the massive herds of elephants and buffalo that congregate on the banks of its river.
Discover moreMoremi Game Reserve
Set in the central and eastern part of the Okavango Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve comprises everything from lagoons and waterways to floodplains and forests. It is one of the best places to see Africa’s most famous predators - lions, leopards, hyenas and other species roam its surroundings alongside a large population of endangered wild dogs.
Discover moreThe Makgadikgadi Pans
The salt pans of Makgadikgadi might not be the best place for game viewing in Botswana but it offers some of the most incredible landscapes. The region consists of vast and empty salt pans, with nothing but scattered rocks and baobab trees. This area of Botswana is also home to the bushmen. Embark on an archaeological expedition and discover the history of the San people…
Discover moreCentral Kalahari Game Reserve
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is the world’s second largest game reserve. It is home to the largest concentration of cheetahs in all southern Africa. In addition to exciting safaris and nature walks, the Kalahari is a perfect place to experience local culture and meet some of Africa’s earliest inhabitants.
Discover moreMobile Safari Expeditions
Botswana is one of the best places in Africa for adventure safaris as outdoor enthusiasts are able to experience the thrill of mobile camping. On a mobile safari expedition, you journey through some of the most remote areas while following the game.
Discover moreMombo Concession - Okavango
The Mombo Concession is located in the heart of the Okavango Delta. It is known as the predator capital of Africa and guarantees some of the best game viewing in the region - including the Big Five.
Discover moreMababe Concession
Mababe is a lesser-known and remote haven for a multitude of diverse wildlife and is a true adventure to explore. Find huge 2000 strong buffalo herds, massive herds of zebras, prides of lions, hyenas, cheetahs, wild dogs, bat-eared foxes, jackals, African wild cats and servals.

When to visit Botswana
May through to October are the best game viewing months as the climate is very dry and the water begins to recede, making the animals congregate in smaller areas. This period marks the best time to visit the Okavango Delta, Linyanti, Moremi and Chobe National Park.

All three of my trips with Jacada have been seamless...timing/scheduling/planning were flawless. The camps chosen for us were all different and led to a wonderful Botswana experience.

We didn't know where to start between Southern…
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday...the absolute best! Starting at the Victoria Falls, viewing from both the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides and topped it off with a view from above (helicopter).....was stunning! Jacada is beyond incredible and we look forward to planning future adventures with them. Our experience was flawless from beginning to end. Iain listened to our dream trip ideas and came up with a bucket list itinerary to Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. James took over and guided us with his amazing care til departure. Such peace during our travels…
Safaris, safaris, safaris..All the guides, campsite staff , hotel workers at the One and Only, restaurants in Capetown incredible! Everyone so nice. Tor at Jacada planned the perfect trip and Angela was extremely helpful with making sure we had everything together for the trip. Would return to Botswana and Zimbabwe tomorrow if could afford it.
