Itinerary in detail

Every custom-designed Jacada trip is tailored to your personal preferences and interests. Below you’ll find a sample itinerary, which includes all meals and game drives whilst on safari, and all internal flights.

Days 1–2

A night in Johannesburg

Before you set off on a luxury safari in Botswana, you’ll spend one night in the so-called ’Big Apple’ of Africa, Johannesburg. The city is an arts and culture hub – and a place of South African political importance. Spend your brief time here exploring a museum or gallery, or ask your Concierge to recommend the city’s best fine dining experiences.

Days 2–5

An immersion in the Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is a true haven for wildlife. Spend your days on game drives, and perhaps on the water, experiencing the beauty of the delta and the magnificent wildlife that lives here.

Your expert guide will be able to answer your questions about the environment and wildlife. Depending on your chosen lodge, there will be a number of different activities to choose from as you immerse yourself in this incredibly diverse natural landscape.

Expect to see lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, giraffes, impalas, elephants and even wild dogs. Bird species include the wattled crane, rosy-throated longclaw and florescent lilac-breasted rollers, all sound-tracked by the unmistakable calls of African fish eagles and woodland kingfishers.

Days 5–8

Three days on Safari in Linyanti

Sitting to the north of the Okavango, Linyanti is home to some of Botswana’s most exclusive safari lodges and camps – and is renowned for big game. Due to the reserve being private, there are no limitations to the activities on offer to visitors. This means it is possible to do game drives both at day and during the night, as well as walking safaris, boating, fishing and unforgettable sleepouts in the reserve’s various hides.
