Komodo National Park and Sumba

You will be met on arrival at the airport and assisted you with luggage before being escorted to your boat at Labuan Bajo harbour. While your luggage is transferred aboard, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and a tour of the facilities aboard. You will also meet the rest of the team and receive a safety briefing. Once you are settled, the boat will then depart for a two-hour crossing to Sebayor Island. Snacks and drinks are available during the crossing and lunch will be served on arrival.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy - spend it snorkelling or take an introductory dive in the beautiful waters off the island. You will then sail or motor to Pink Beach, during which time you may wish to enjoy spa treatment from. As the day ends with a stunning sunset over the Komodo Island hills, the evening rounds out with a superb gourmet meal and your boat will moor overnight in a beautiful secluded cove.

After breakfast, head ashore to the most beautiful Pink Beach which gets its name and color from crushed red coral blended with sugar-soft white sand. This pristine beach is perfect for a dive or snorkel in the many shades of torquoise waters, with the underwater scenery as beautiful and full of life as the one above it. Here you'll have the opportunity to go trekking in search of the legendary Komodo Dragon. Guided by park rangers, the walk will take you along promising paths where the native wildlife is in abundance. On the lookout for exotic birdlife and flying lizards in their natural habitat, this trek usually takes about two hours or until the famous and fascinating dragon is located.

Head back onboard for a well deserved lunch, before setting sail to Toro Longkoi where there are plenty of beautiful bays to moor for the night. The afternoon is free for snorkelling, diving, or perhaps another spa treatment, then the evening brings with it a stunning sunset over the Komodo Hills.

After breakfast, you will visit one of the well-known dive sites ‘Manta Point’, located in the south west of Komodo. This is a home to the famous manta cleaning station. You'll have the opportunity to swim or dive surrounded by manta rays as they circle in an underwater ballet around you. Known as the most active area in all of Komodo because of its topography, three rocks in this deep bay are covered in an array of vibrant soft and hard coral gardens and home to large numbers of fish including species such as tuna, Napoleon, wrasse, barracuda, and many many others.

After lunch onboard, you'll change locations for another dive. Here, turtles seem to be everywhere and you can expect to see many. As well as diving with the shy turtles, you can also see giant trevalley, great and black-tail barracuda, and of course manta rays also make guest appearances. An afternoon spent beach-combing and snorkelling, or perhaps relaxing with a massage, the day ends with another spectacular sunset in a private bay.

After an early breakfast, head to Padar Island where you'll anchor in a bay surrounded by stunning beaches. Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park and is famous for its long stretches of deserted white beaches. The bays are also perfect for whatever watersport you choose. The boat will anchor in a secluded cove, and in the evening you'll enjoy a beach barbeque on a soft white sandy beach. Star-gaze, relax on plush white cushions and indulge in the freshest grilled seafood on offer, caught during the days sail and prepared especially for you by your chef.

After breakfast, your boat will start to navigate back through the bays and coves towards Rinca Island, home to the famous Komodo Dragon, and to Tengha Island which is a wonderful spot for diving and snorkelling. This is a cruising time of around four hours. Spend your time swimming in the warm tropical waters off a deserted sand cay, or relaxing on vboard with a spa treatment.

The afternoon cruise takes you to Siaba Island, which is surrounded by secluded bays and private beaches. The underwater coral gardens here are spectacular with large schools of fish such as trevally and tuna, wrasse, snapper and many many turtles. As evening approaches, Siaba is the perfect viewpoint for a final sunset over the Komodo Islands.

Depart early in the morning to set sail to Labuan Bajo, Flores. Breakfast is served and then it’s time to prepare for disembarkation. Your luggage will be transferred to the airport and depending on the time of your flight, there may be time for one last interesting tour through the local markets.

Spend your time in picturesque Jimbaran exploring the pretty fisherman’s villages or simply relax on the vast stretch of white sand beach. A fresh seafood feast whilst watching the sun set is a must.

Spend lazy days at Nihi Sumba Island. All your meals and non-alcoholic drinks are included, so relax, soak up the sun, watch the sunset then enjoy an atmospheric dinner in the restaurant or at one of the many romantic locations among the grounds. Swim in the crystal-clear waters, go mountain biking and paddle boarding or simply kick back with a yoga or meditation session. To mix things up a bit, why not try an excursion out to a traditional Sumbanese village? The choice is yours.
