When I was just four years old myself and my family moved to Cyprus, during which time we were lucky enough to explore the small yet historical island. I feel as though this experience, albeit subliminally, awoke in me a curiosity to travel the world and understand different cultures. I am a keen linguist and studied both Spanish and Arabic at university as well as living in both Spain and Egypt for a combined total of seven years.
My most memorable trip
Uganda
My most memorable bit of travelling I have done was to Uganda as it was a very spur of the moment trip that worked out perfectly. The countryside is some of the most luscious I have seen in my life.
Best destination for families
Jordan
Jordan is a must for families. With a perfect blend of outdoor camping, magical Petra moments and floating in the Dead Sea, there is something for everyone in this exotic yet accessible country.

My favourite trip
Classic Egypt
My favourite part of this trip is the Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan, where you cruise down the river in absolute luxury stopping off at all the 4000-year-old Pharaonic temples.
My favourite hotel
The Old Cataract, Aswan
This grand, restored palace welcomes you to step back in time with its mix of traditional and opulent decor. The French and Egyptian influences are obvious throughout.
